My Influences

When Everything Changes, Music Always Stays The Same

If there has been any constant in James' life, it has been music. Every second of everyday music was playing in his childhood home. At Home, it was everything from Motown to Top 40 Pop to Rockabilly. When with his Dad, it was Everything from Punk to Goth Rock to Hip-Hop. As this music was playing from speakers,  James' headphones were playing Country Music. Everything from the classics of Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton to the Modern Superstars like Jason Aldean and Keith Urban and everything in between, James loved it all. James is hoping to find a halfway mark between Country Rock and Neo-Traditional Country with his music, always telling a story with every song. James loves the stories that country music tell, everything from 3rd Person narratives to emotional 1st person heartbreak songs. James started learning guitar in the summer of 2016 and began writing and playing country songs not long after, trying to tell stories with every song and is beyond excited for people to hear his new EP.
